Terms & Privacy

These terms govern your use of venturebeyond.co (the "Site") and the programs offered by Venture Beyond. They also describe how we collect and use your personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive. By using the Site or applying to a program you agree to what is set out below.

1. Terms of Use

1.1 Who we are

Venture Beyond is operated by the Venture Beyond team. You can reach us at hello@venture-beyond.co.

1.2 Use of the site

The Site and its content are made available for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to copy, redistribute, scrape, or misuse the content, and not to interfere with the operation of the Site.

1.3 Applications & retreats

Submitting an invitation request does not guarantee acceptance into a cohort. Specific bookings, payment terms, cancellation windows, and conduct guidelines for each retreat are shared in writing with confirmed participants and form part of the agreement for that retreat.

1.4 Nature of the work

Our retreats are educational and developmental experiences. They are not a substitute for medical, psychological, or psychiatric care. Participants are responsible for assessing their own suitability and disclosing relevant medical or mental health information during onboarding.

1.5 Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Venture Beyond is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Site or attendance at a retreat. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

1.6 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Venture Beyond is established. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts there, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights.

2. Privacy Policy

2.1 Data we collect

We collect information you submit through forms on the Site (such as your name, email address, and the answers in your invitation request), correspondence you send us, and limited technical data your browser provides (such as IP address, device type, and pages visited).

2.2 How we use it

We use this data to review applications, communicate with you about retreats and the community, operate and secure the Site, and comply with legal obligations. The legal bases under the GDPR are your consent, the performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interest in running Venture Beyond, and where relevant, legal obligation.

2.3 Cookies

The Site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary storage is used to remember your cookie choice itself. Any analytics or marketing cookies are only set after you accept them via the consent banner. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site.

2.4 Sharing

We share data with a limited set of processors who help us run the Site and our programs (for example hosting, email, and database providers). They act on our instructions under data processing agreements. We do not sell your personal data.

2.5 International transfers

Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

2.6 Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes set out above, or as required by law. Application data is kept for the duration of our relationship with you and a reasonable period after for record-keeping.

2.7 Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You may also withdraw any consent you've given and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@venture-beyond.co.

2.8 Changes

We may update this page from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
